A new Forest Service Fire Station replaces an existing substandard facility. The station includes two equipment bays, offices and staff areas for seasonal fire crews. Public restrooms and offices are provided for a winter recreation concession. The building design is based on a US Forest Service prototype adapted for the site and augmented with daylighting and energy conserving lighting and mechanical systems.
